"Fifteen tiles, one empty square, and roughly fifty years of nobody solving it."
The artwork is late seventies Batman, cape flared and jaw set, from the stretch when Denny O'Neil and Neal Adams had finished dragging him out of the camp television years and back into the shadows. American Publishing Corp printed him onto a red plastic sliding tile puzzle, punched a hanging hole in the card and sent it to the shops. This one is still sealed on that card, in English and French, which means the tiles have never been scrambled. Fifteen tiles waiting for a first move.
