"Batman... darling."
The Joker spends most of The Dark Knight Returns catatonic in Arkham, staring at nothing, until Batman turns up on the evening news. Then he blinks, and his first word in ten years is "darling". Frank Miller gave him a white suit, green hair and lipstick, and DC Direct followed it exactly. Tall, thin, slouched and smiling, with a small companion figure packed alongside him in the tray. Boxed with the interlocking base.
