Wes Craven named Fred Krueger after a boy who bullied him at school, which is a fairly brutal way to settle a playground score. The boiler room was where Freddy did his best work, and NECA have shrunk it down for the shelf. The door opens. The flames flicker with a real LED glow. The metal is weathered like it has been quietly cooking teenagers since 1984. Stand your 7 inch Freddy in front of it and the whole Elm Street display finally has a home.
