Happy Days are Here Again!
This little fella takes you right back to Saturday mornings watching cartoons! He’s got that classic 70s toy look – bright primary colours, slightly creepy-cute face, and that wonderful tin construction they just don’t make anymore. His blue tricycle even has those hypnotic rainbow wheels that spin as he moves.
Wind him up and he’s off! The mechanism still has plenty of life left, making that distinctive racket that only old tin toys can make. He’s loud too – none of your modern muted toys here! The box is a collector’s dream with its wonderfully dated graphics. One side shows the “Boys Tricycle” version we have here, flip it over and there’s the “Girls Tricycle” variant advertised on the yellow side. Retro toy packaging at its finest!
Why Choose This Product?
- It actually works! So many of these old wind-ups are seized solid, but this little chap still pedals away like it’s 1975.
- Original box included: The box alone is a nostalgic trip with those brilliantly dated graphics and “NON-TOXICATED” stamp.
- Clean condition: No rust patches or major paint chips – he’s been kept in good nick for his age.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Q: Does the wind-up still work?
A: Absolutely! Winds up smoothly and makes a proper racket when he pedals – just like they should. - Q: What’s it made of?
A: Classic tin/metal construction with plastic bits, typical of those brilliant Korean toys that flooded toyshops in the 70s. - Q: Can my kid play with it?
A: I wouldn’t risk it – this is definitely a collector’s piece rather than a plaything now. Those old wind-up mechanisms can pinch little fingers. - Q: How old is it exactly?
A: The box looks to be from the mid-70s based on style and manufacturer.
